Molter Enterprises charges $20.00 for the transfer of handguns and long guns. The transfer fee includes the transfer, Background check, and tax.
1. Collect information;
a. Seller's Name, phone number, and fax number
b. Buyer's name and phone number
c. If this purchase was made on an auction site (Gunbroker, Auction Arms, Gunsamerica ect...) write down the auction id number. If it was purchased on a gun dealers website, have a copy of the receipt.
2. Once the above information has been collected send it to Molter Enterprises via email (transfers@molterenterprises.com) or Fax (561.744.2100) Please included all the information.
3. Once the firearm arrives at our Location;
1. We will contact you to tell you your firearm has arrived. Transfers are completed between the hours of 5pm and 7pm Monday through Friday, and other time will be on an appointment basis.
2. Come in and fill out ATF form 4473, at this point we will call for a background check. You will need to bring your Florida Drivers license with you. If you do not have a Florida Driver license any government photo id can be used. At this time we will collect the $20.00 transfer fee.
3. The waiting period for firearms is 5 business days, starting the day after you fill out form 4473. Florida concealed weapons permit holder's do not have a waiting period and can go home with the firearm when you fill out ATF form 4473. Concealed Weapons Permit holders are required to have there id card to use this option.
